A browser-based photometric planner: drop fixtures on any address, and watch illuminance render live across the site, footcandle grids, stat areas, and spec-ready PDFs, all from satellite imagery.

Light the site, keep it even.

Every cell shows calculated illuminance in foot-candles (fc) — the light your GALN Galleon II area luminaires land on Stat Area 1, after a 0.912 light-loss factor. Drag a luminaire, click empty ground to add one, double-click to remove it; the field recomputes live.

Read the numbers
AVGMean illuminance across the stat area. The target is driven by the minimum, not the average — a compliant lot typically averages 1–3 fc.
MAXThe brightest cell, directly under a pole. Peaks several times the average are normal in a parking lot — uniformity is judged by MAX:MIN, not by MAX alone.
MINThe darkest cell — the design's weak point. The design target holds ≥ 0.2 fc maintained at grade for parking lots and drive aisles.
MAX:MINUniformity: maximum ÷ minimum. The basic parking target allows up to 20:1 — lower is more uniform.
AVG:MINAverage ÷ minimum — the uniformity commercial design guides judge; the shipped Light ARchitect reports both ratios.
TARGETSBasic requirements for an open customer parking lot at grade (not security lighting): all lots & drive aisles 0.2 fc min at 20:1; transaction areas 0.9 fc pre-curfew / 0.2 post at 15:1.
Why it matters

Targets are basic parking-lot requirements at grade (not security lighting): ≥ 0.2 fc maintained minimum and ≤ 20:1 max:min uniformity. Transaction areas call for 0.9 fc pre-curfew / 0.2 post-curfew at 15:1, and project specifics may necessitate different criteria. Values compute live — move a fixture and watch MAX:MIN respond.

Why this page looks like a paper file

A case file is a format people already know how to read: a stamp, a photo, a list of facts you can check. So the work is laid out the way an investigator would hand it to you, and the building in the middle is the evidence.

The paper
The cream stock, the hard black rules, the drop shadows and the crooked VERIFIED stamp are all borrowed from a physical folder. Nothing here is a scan or a photograph of paper. It is built from the same plain web page parts as any other site.
The building
Not a 3D model. It is a few hundred ordinary boxes stacked and tilted, closer to a pop up book than to a game. Each tiny square is a window, in cool blues and warm ambers. About one in seven starts lit, and a few of those flicker. The pattern comes from a fixed recipe, so the building looks the same on every visit.
The floors
Point at any window and the whole floor it belongs to lights up, and the small readouts fill in with what is happening there: the ward, the scene the lights are running, how busy it is, how many devices are on it. Each floor always reports the same thing, so you can look away and check it again.
The handle
Grab the building and drag to spin it. Arrow keys turn it too, and Home puts it back where it started, so it is not a mouse only toy. Let go and it leans gently toward your pointer.

If your device is set to reduce motion, the building stops drifting and stops leaning toward your pointer, and it snaps between positions rather than gliding. You can still turn it and still read the floors: that setting asks for less movement, not less to do. It also stops working when you switch tabs or scroll past it, so it is not running away in the background.
